Sea kayaking and canoeing

Canoeing and sea kayaking create many opportunities for exploring Mongolian nomadic life and pristine nature. During the summer time, nomadic herders will set up their homes near the water source for their animals. As you are paddling down the river you will meet with locals and learn about their daily life. On your paddling trip, you may also enjoy fishing and a bonfire next to your camp.

Canoeing on Delger River – Delger River rises Ulaan taiga near the Russian border and runs about 400 km through subtle canyon landscape. If you are Intermediate paddler, we recommend you this river and it has class I – III. We start our paddling journey from floating army bridge and continue down to Murun town. After resupply our food and drinks, we continue our journey until the joint of Five river confluence. The trip length will be 10 days on the water for 200 kilometers. Canoeing on Ider River – Ider River rises from Khangai Mountain in the western part of Mongolia and runs about 450 km to Selenge River. Our journey will start wooden bridge next to Tosontsengel village. The river level is class I-II and if you have enough experience as Novice then this part of the trip is for you. Most of the time you are paddling open big valley with a lot of nomadic families near the bank of the River. The trip length will be about 12 days on the River about 250 kilometers. Sea Kayaking at Khuvsgul lake – Khuvsgul lake is surrounded by mountain ranges with craggy peaks and green hills with forest. This lake is the most scenic and tourist attraction place in Mongolia. But there are no road around the lake so once you are out of tourist area you will be in wilderness all alone. We will start our trip at Khatgal village and loop around the lake.
