Great Gobi
Day 1: Ulaanbaatar.
Welcome to Mongolia! You will arrive in Ulaanbaatar, the capital, where your guide and driver will meet at the airport. You will then be transferred to your hotel which is located in the center of the city.

Day 2. Ulaanbaatar day.
In the morning we will visit to one of the oldest Buddhist monastery and learn about Mongolian main religions’ rituals and history. After a walk through Buddhist temples we will visit Mongolian National History Museum. In the evening we will enjoy Mongolian traditional concert. Followed by welcome dinner.

Day 3. Flight to Gobi.
After a breakfast at your hotel, we will catch a flight early to the Gobi. We’ll meet our ground team and vehicle, and we will head to Yoll Valley. It is about an hour drive from the airport. Yolliin Am which means valley of the lammergeiers. This valley is famous for a frozen ice river which holds until the beginning of July. Once we reach the place, we will walk through an exotic narrow gorge. At this place, you are are able to see the watering Ibex next to the Creek rocks.

Day 4 and 5. Khongor sand dunes.
After having breakfast at the Ger camp, we will head to Khongor sand dunes. Khongor sand dunes are the highest sand dunes in Mongolia. It has stretched over 200 km and occupies over 900 square km. This place is also well known as “Duut mankhan”, which means singing sand dunes – when wind pushes sand down the hill it makes a humming sound, but also when you are walking down sand dunes, pushed sand can make the same sound too. Mongolia is well known for two humped camels and the area is home of the camels. We will visit a nomadic family and ride a camel next to sand dunes.

Day 5: Bayanzag via petroglyph.
After two days of enjoying Khongor sand dunes, we will drive to Khavtsgait petroglyphs dating around 4000 BC. Hiking up rock painting is a little bit of a challenge because of the terrain path (about 20 minutes’ walk from the parking area). But once you are on the top of the mountain, you will see many rock paintings including galloping horses, people riding horses and camels and hunters doing archery etc. Also, from this spot, we will see the great gobi plateau, which is the fifth-largest dessert in the world. After two hours of exploring in this area, we will drive to our ger camp and have lunch. In the afternoon we will drive to a flaming cliff to see the sunset. The Mongolian name for the flaming cliff is Bayanzag. At this place, the first dinosaur eggs were founded by Roy Chapman Andrews.

Day 6: Back to Ulaanbaatar and Mongol nomadic camp.
Today, we will catch an early flight to Ulaanbaatar. Once we arrive at the Chinggis airport, we will head to our next place, called the Mongol nomadic camp. This place offers many activities based on nomadic culture, including horse training, making dairy products, traditional games and singing traditional songs.

Day 7: Terelj National park and Chinggis statue.
This morning, we will drive to Terelj national park. On the way, we will stop by Chinggis statue. According to the legend, he found a golden whip at this place, which is a sign of uniting Monglia and conquering half of the world. After lunch, we will head to Terelj National Park, where we can do a light hike through the National Park and visit a small Buddhist meditation temple.

Day 8: Back to Civilization
After break camp, we will drive to Ulaanbaatar. Today you can shopping for Mongolian cashmere products or any other souvenirs that you take back to your home. In the evening, we will enjoy our farewell dinner together.

After having a breakfast in the hotel we will be transferred to Chinggis Khaan international airport for departure (B)
